Eerie - Spin it how you want mate, but you was suggesting that nobody shoud critisize anything, and let's be honest, that's a ridiculous thing to say.

I'm quite sure that everyone is happy with the season to date, but yesterday we were a lick of paint away from going 3-0 down to the bottom side.

I'm glad you aint our manager, you would be in Monday morning saying 'take it easy lads, do what you want, we don't have any areas where we can improve or do better'

Old Chinese proverb:

It is easier to turn draws into wins rather defeats into victories.

This translates to fck off to the yids you moaning cunts.

I'm calm Monk, as I say I'm absolutely loving this season.

They are easy to spot, that's why I'm giving it to them.

Let's face it, if we ironed out the supposed stuff that gets touted on here, we'd be top, with no draws or losses without conceding a goal.

The thing is, if you went over there, you'd see that the 'constructive' criticism that gets put up on here transmits to some absolutely moaning cunts that do everything BUT get behind the team. And that's my point, what the Fuck are some people expecting from a brand new manager with a new team who were Fucking pathetic last season?

We have good side, we don't yet have a consistent one.

Good fight back from 2-0 down but yet again we seemed to start sluggishly compared to the opposition. That is an issue that can be addressed though because once we get into our stride we are OK.

Calm down Eerie

Sure there are some plonkers but they are easy to spot.

I think that most passing comment only want to see the club doing as well as possible and ironing out the weaknesses. It is a forum to debate football after all.

And yes you are entitled to your opinion.

Hello Monk, Dancer.

Have a look on the multitude of Noble threads, and indeed back on this thread.

If some of the crying that has taken place is 'constructive', then fuck knows Where we go from here, seeing as we're 5th in the league, 2nd highest scorers, undefeated away from home, having beaten Arsenal, man City and our first win at Anfield since the Beatles were no.1 and it being THREE NIL

We're going to have poor halfs, poor games, having a reasoned debate is fine. But threads with titles like we have on here, given our start under a new regime, when pundits and our own fans had us down for relegation before a ball was kicked, is Fucking pathetic, IN MY OPINION, which I'm allowed as much as you are.

Get sam back as a defensive coach.

Re: Sunderland v West Ham - Official Match Thread 2-2 FT
Whilst we clearly need to be tighter, particularly at the start of games, it's really encouraging that we have enough goals, and belief that we can score, to turn games when we go behind.

We haven't looked as solid at the back without Ogbonna, and when he's back I'd put Tompkins in at right back for Jenkinson. I think it's worth the additional solidity at the back, because we are conceding too many at the moment.

I think we're still building and gelling. People forget how difficult it is to bed in lots of new players, and we're attempting that whilst simultaneously changing our entire pattern of play. It would be a miracle if this didn't throw up the odd glitch, and at the moment we haven't really sorted out the defensive midfield duties. However, I'm genuinely amazed that it's gone so well thus far.

I'm looking forward to Song and Valencia being back. I think Song is exactly what we need to improve our ability to keep possession and, if he's right, to solve the defensive midfield problem.

We thou not critisize under any circumstances even if it is constructive and the manager says the same thing...it's the new rule on WHO!

The football has been miles better.

Personally my comments are just my opinion on how we can still improve

Eerie

I'm not sure passing comment on how we could do better is always necessarily moaning. Bilic makes similar comments in his after match interviews.

Of course, the football is a breath of fresh air this season but the games we have lost have been disappointing with a fair bit of self destruction thrown in. Nothing wrong with wanting better in terms of success even if we know that we are not going to win anything.

Re: Sunderland v West Ham - Official Match Thread 2-2 FT
Well, I have to say, I actually feel sorry for a lot of you. Good luck if people want to moan, after every fucking match, even when we don't lose, but I actually feel sorry for you all.

I for one, am absolutely loving this season. Might make me a happy clapper, but after the absolute dirge served up in recent years, going for a 0-0 every game, to be the second highest scorers in the league, serving up entertainment and not knowing what to expect and therefore looking forward to every game, it's what West Ham is about for me, and I am FUCKING LOVING IT.

The first half was all too predictable.

I admire Bilic for getting us to attack, but what I wanted to see is belief in our counter attacking philosophy, and keep it tight and frustrate the home fans in the first half.

The midfield pairing of Noble and Kouyate is wrong. Neither is disciplined enough.

One of those players needs to be dropped for Obiang.

Id also have Ogbonna back in and Tomkins to right back

Re: Sunderland v West Ham - Official Match Thread 2-2 FT
Think next match at Palace id swap Moses for Antonio and Obiang for Kouyate or Noble.

Several times Moses was looking for the free kick rather than appearing to want to beat a man, pick a pass although great quality to create the first goal but he is to in and out. Also think Antonio would give cresswell abit more cover.

Obiang very good calming influence on the ball keeps it simple does not give the ball away in dangerous areas of the pitch which is what you want for a player sitting in defensive midfield.

If he was not captain id give it a try without noble but that would leave us with no natural leader on the pitch. Nobody does not strike me as the type of guy to bark at people including Reid

Re: Sunderland v West Ham - Official Match Thread 2-2 FT
Fucking long trip to do there and back in one day, but overall, happy with the result & trip- well done Mr Strug!

Lots of words giving better analysis than me, however I want to highlight poor decision-making as what's catching us at the moment - the biggest being Nobles ridiculous hack/ block/pull on their player after about 2 minutes- totally putwind in their sails, needless and meant he was on a knife edge for the rest of the match.

Jenks for getting caught and giving the foul away for their goal- just poor and its not the first time this season- what is going through his head

On the other hand- creswell continues to improve after his early season wobbles- he was excellent

Finally, in the last 20 minutes with them on their backs, we never seemed to watch to move the ball wide fast enough- we were sometimes three men over but still slowly moved the ball around and that allowed them to recover...
